Intersectional Artificial Intelligence (AI) Working Group

The goal of our Intersectional AI working group is to cultivate understanding of the ethical and sociopolitical stakes of technological developments, automated systems and artificial intelligence amongst scholars across a variety of disciplines (technical and non-technical), policy professionals, activists and the general public. We aim to explore AI through feminist and anti-racist frameworks. 

Areas of Interest:

  • Intersectionality and Interdiscplinarity
  • Explainable AI
  • Automation vs Autonomy
  • AI Bias
  • Healthcare and AI
  • Hiring and AI

We are currently looking for:

  • Undergraduate Students
  • Graduate Students
  • Anyone interested in AI, no technical background required!

We will be hosting an in-person meeting on April 9th at 7pm in the Keohane Atrium to introduce the working group, get to know each other, and outline the goals for Spring and Fall semester. Snacks will be provided, along with Duke Dining Cards.
