Faculty Affiliate Nancy MacLean, William H. Chafe Distinguished Professor of History and Public Policy at Duke University, recently saw her award-winning book Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right’s Stealth Plan for America reissued by Penguin Random House.
A previous New York Times bestseller and a finalist for the National Book Award in Nonfiction, the latest version of the book has a new preface that updates the story from its original publication in 2017 to include the Koch-Trump relationship and the right’s push for a constitution convention.
