Sungmee is an applied microeconomist studying education and health policy for K-12 students and young adults in the United States and South Korea. Her particular focus lies in estimating heterogeneous impacts of the policy on different student subgroups. Before joining the Cook Center, she pursued a PhD in Economics at Georgia State University.
