Jasmine is a recent graduate from Duke University, who received her BA in Environmental Science Policy. Within her Environmental Science and Policy major, her focus was on Environmental Justice, and she also completed two minors both in African & African American Studies as well as Visual Media Studies. She has produced several short films on the topic of Environmental Justice and currently is a research assistant at Third City Project, an organization that focuses on researching health injustices in American carceral systems. She is passionate about racial equity and justice, attributing this ignition to her experience in a Duke Immerse Program sponsored by the Dubois Cook Center her freshman year entitled, “Global Inequality in the U.S. and in China,” and she is very excited to utilize her skills and knowledge to assist in communications at the Center.
