I think that the negative is that there’s no substantiative congressional legislation afoot to establish a comprehensive reparations program for Black American descendants of U.S. slavery. The positive is that there has been a change in attitudes across the American population that holds some promise for the full development of a political movement that would pressure Congress into doing the right thing.”
